Getting someone else's emails. I have an [myname]@me.com icloud account, and someone with the same name [myname]@icloud.com is sharing the email account with me

I don't know how to explain this, and it started years ago. The privacy breach implications are immense.

I started receiving emails for services I didn't sign up for. And then I started getting password reset 2fa codes for big services like Discord and Spotify. All of them are come to the email alias [myname]@icloud.com. I don't use this with icloud- I never have. However long long long ago I started using [myname]@me.com. My primary private email that I have always used for important things, like job applications and banking.

At first I thought it was just mistyping on someone's behalf. But this is no longer the case. I'm quite certain I even know who this person is now, based on the information in the emails. This is an extraordinary breach of privacy. I feel sick to think they are also getting my private emails.

I'm not sure how to approach this. I need to disconnect my email from this other persons email somehow. I have so many important banking and utilities services using this email.

What do I do?

I'm not the only one who has this issue. There are a myriad of people with this issue reporting the same thing in various forums, for the past 10 years, but I've never once seen a resolution or solution. Does any one have any ideas how to fix this?
