My Touch ID stopped working I deleted all previous fingerprints. And now it’s giving me a message that Unable to Complete Touch ID enrollment

It could be hardware issue, try to check your Touch ID sensor with Apple Diagnostics.

A lot of users reports the same, not even sure if Apple is working on it. Happened after update to macOS Sonoma. For both Intel and M2 processors. Been trying to solve it for 2 good months now. I lost hope ;)
Thank you I followed that and no issues were found I ran it twice to be safe
so back to square one. A little frustrating.
