Probably because you are facing the screen, its normal.

Try it when you only look at the back of the phone.

I’m not sure that this is it. I miss calls because the volume has been turned all the way down. I turn it about midway up with the side buttons and then find later in the day that I have missed a call again and the volume is all the way down. Is there some related watch setting that is causing this?
