AskToMessagesExtension hogs up processor and CPU resources and eventually crashes Messages app

Since I've started managing my child's ScreenTime on his iPhone, I've started receiving his requests on the Messages app.

With every new request though, the messages thread containing his requests have grown extremely slow and I've had to delete the whole thread on my iPhone several times to keep it functioning.

Unfortunately, whenever I open the Messages app on my desktop, the app basically freezes.

Looking at the Activity Monitor, I see AskToMessagesExtension (Messages) is in Not Responding state.

Whatever you are doing, this feature does not work.

Looking for this problem on the internet, I've seen that multiple people have been complaining about this issue for a good while.

Any way, it seems that the problem lies within AskToMessagesExtension, that is simply not capable of handling the load imposed by large number of ScreenTime requests.
