how to export a wav (or mp3) file from apple music?

I uploaded several of own songs into my personal apple music library (local file), and mistakenly got rid of the original files, so I now need to extract them from Apple Music to be able to send to artists or upload elsewhere.

I've found some sources such as Apple that indicated ways to do it via iTunes, but this doesn't seem to work for apple music.

It said to, "Simply select it using a left click. Then (in the top iTunes menu bar) choose File > Convert, then Create MP3 Version"

Anyone know of another way? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

The is no export function in music app but You can use finder to locate files on your computer, then you can copy them so that you can export to your desired location. As you will have two copies in your music library, you can either keep both or remove unneeded copy.

Hi,

If the tracks were matched or uploaded, you should be able to download load them. Matched tracks will be 256 Kbps AAC, uploaded MP3 will be as uploaded and WAV / lossless tracks would have been transcribed to 256 Kbps AAC. Once downloaded you can convert to MP3.

Tracks from Apple Music Subscription will be copyright protected and can’t be converted.
