How do I re-remember a Bluetooth mouse that I told bluetooth command to forget?

Unfortunately, I pressed "forget this device" in Bluetooth settings. Now my mouse does not show on the Bluetooth "devices" list and I can't find a way to reconnect it. Any ideas?

Thanks ~

Please see the guidance here:

Set up your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad with your Mac - Apple Support

  1. Connect your wireless mouse to your Mac using the charging cable it came with:
    • If you can't connect the cable because your device doesn't have a Lightning port, follow the steps in the next section.

2. Turn on the device. You should see green under its power switch.

3. The device uses the USB connection to recharge its battery and automatically pair with your Mac. To check its charge level and confirm that it's paired, choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Bluetooth. The device should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.

4. Unplug the device for wireless use.

I'm sorry. I'm at a loss, my friend. 🤔

You might see if you can pair the mouse while you have the Mac booted in Safe mode. It may take longer to safe boot (5 min) so be patient.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Safe mode will often correct weird software behavior by forcing the OS to do disk repair, clear caches and other housekeeping and disables acceleration and third-party mods. When you're in safe boot, the machine won’t be at its best performance, especially with graphics, but that's expected.

Can you coax the mouse to pair in Safe mode?

Exit safe mode by restarting your Mac normally and evaluate the issue again.

Hi D.I. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, I followed the steps outlined and the mouse still doesn't show on the list of available devices. I even repeated the sequence, dis reconnected charging cable, toggled the Bluetooth on and off, rebooted the computer and still no luck. The BT mouse still doesn't appear on either the "my" or "available nearby" list of bluetooth devices. Any followup thoughts on how to solve this issue?

Many thanks ~ Scotty
