Quick Time player causes M1 MacBook Pro crashes when using external monitor.

Hello,

I connected LG 27UP85NP via official Apple Thunderbolt usb C cable to my MacBook Pro M1 202114".

When I am trying to play any video format in QuickTime player in this setup, it causes my system to freeze and theres no option but switch it off manually.

After contacting telephone support of both Apple and LG, I found many forum online. It seems that it doesn't matter which monitor brand, many people experience the same issus. (f.e. here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255277781?login=true&sortBy=best&answerId=260160404022). Plus, the monitor is ok, because when I try this connection with my MacBook Air 2022 13,6" - it s not happening, video is playing fine.

It must be software issue, please send us and update for QuickTime, it causes me troubles with work.

Many thanks!

Anna
