iPhone watch

I don’t want to keep updating my phone

the iPhone 11 I have is my last phone.

will the watch be able to continue working or not

iPhone 8, iOS 14

If you mean you are not going to get a new iPhone, then your current iPhone 11 will work, if you upgrade the software to iOS 17.


If you are not going to apply software updates, then no, the Apple Watch is not for you.


Perhaps a Fitbit. Or a basic Timex.


Then again, I did not wear a watch for about 35 years, until the Apple watch. I could always find a clock, and when the Palm Pilot came along (then the iPhone), I had the current time in my pocket.
