I’ve created a document that uses old Biblical names and places. When I complete the document, I go through and review the spelling of those words identified by Pages as misspelled. I use Learn Spelling to add those words to the dictionary. Once the document is closed and then reopened, the same words are again identified as misspelled. Any recommendations?

In the Edit : Spelling and Grammar : Show Spelling and Grammar panel, change Automatic By Language to your specific language (e.g. U.S. English). See if that improves the word recognition. Ensure that the language selected mirrors the top most language in System Settings : General : Language & Region : Preferred Language.
