Sending a text to a blocked caller

Do texts sent to contacts you have blocked go through? Or do you have to unblock them to send a message

Checking blocked messages on iPhone after unblocking contacts I’m just wondering what happens to the blocked messages after people send them. Sometimes I don’t feel like arguing so I’ll just block people let everything settle and then unblock them. I want the conversation to be done. Can still get texts from someone I blocked. I can still get texts from someone I blocked. I keep reading it’s because they’re sending through iMessage but that shouldn’t matter. I don’t want texts from them anymore. I don’t want contact from them anymore how do I make that happen? My phone is updated to the latest iOS.

Unless the recipient has blocked you, the text will go through. You will not, however, see the response.
