I have experienced this once before and somebody on here helped me out it was a simple procedure but I forgot how do it.
Some of my documents are all shaded out and I cant use the documents it happens from time to time but there is a way to fix it I got help before it worked can somebody who knows how to fix it please inform me?
The white documents clearly work its the shaded grey documents that dont work
What application window is this screenshot from?
And what are you trying to accomplish with that window open?
It appears the app can open .pdf files but isn't happy with Word documents.
A graphics app like Preview would normally behave like this.
For a word processing app such as Pages or MS Word this would be unusual behavior in the "Open file" window.
A little bit more info would be helpful to know so we can best assist.

mainly word documents and some photos and some pdf files that get greyed out shaded from time to time. So I was trying to upload one of the documents and it wasn't allowing me because it was shaded out. Today I had another look now they are working but I know its going to happen again its somewhere in settings because we fixed it last time but I just don't know where what setting
