USB-C Port stopped working

The USB-C Ports on my Macbook Pro 2019 have stopped working. They have been temperamental for the past year however 1 has now fully stopped, and the other one is a touch and go - which obviously does not help as this is the only way to charge my laptop.

I have only been using the laptop charger given when receiving the laptop and have purchased all other adapters needed off the Apple website or an approved supplier such as Belkin. I also use the iphone usb-c charger for my phone which came from Apple.

I read online that I could rest the SMC? Would this make a difference if it's the port? If I continue, do I need to back up my laptop?

Has anyone had this issue/know what the cost for repair would be? Obviously a vital part of the laptop.

Thanks in advance!

On an Intel Mac —port definition is redefined with each restart...

if no resolve there is no harm in resetting the System Management Controller Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support. This has no effect on your user data.
