iPad Pro 12.9" back light issue

I bought iPad Pro 12.9" 2021 model 512 GB .

I handled it with utmost care from the day I bought it. I was watching YouTube that day. Suddenly the screen went black. I took it to the Apple service center and they told the display is good but there is back light issue and learnt that these premium Apple IPads cannot be repaired and can only be replaced. I strongly believe this IPad is manufactured with defect where the backlight would stop working after a period of time because I have not mishandled my IPad. I always take and keep my IPad like a new born baby. My IPad is just 2.5 years old. I hit this hardware failure without doing any physical damage. I lost trust on this Apple premium product. It doesn't have live long enough for the money I spent on it. I will never buy any Apple product.

Something here doesn't make sense as your iPad Pro remains in full support - and is repairable.

For practical purposes, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. The cost of the exchange is the same as would otherwise be charged for repair. Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare plan, an out-of-warranty repair while expensive will be somewhat less than the cost of a replacement iPad.

As for out-of-warranty repair costs, Apple offers a fixed-price price repair. You can verify eligibility and cost for your region/country here:

iPad Repair & Service - Apple Support

If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, the cost of repair is reduced to a small excess/deductible fee.

I strongly believe Apple didn't provide me the quality product for the money I already spent to buy it

If it is accidental damage then it is great idea to replace IPad using apple care plans

Otherwise, I simply see these apple care plans are ways for Apple to produce products which slowly degrades due to manufacturing defects and encourage users to buy apple care and earn more money over these products which will stop working over a period of time (very short 2.5 years)

I see there are black screen issue in Apple Watch series 6 and 13inch matchbook pro Apple Service Programmes – Apple Support

Not sure when they will accept the black screen issue in their iPads

My IPad is in out of warranty and it costs 60% of the buy value to replace it, I believe it is not worth to buy the same product which will also stop working over a period no matter how I carefully handle it
