Renewal of my Safari Browser.

Hello

I'd like to install a brand-new pristine version of Safari on my iMac; it's running Ventura 13.6.4

I've no idea where all the current data held by my Personal Profile is stored.

Please can someone help me to do this?

Thanks.

Word from the wise regarding Third Partly Security Software

There are no known Windows-like Viruses in the wild that self replicate and affect macOS, because of the underling UNIX  Foundation and Permission Limitation.

The Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

The only Entity that can open and modify or alter this Volume is Apple.

The Only thing this Antivirus software is protecting is the Bank Account of the Developers and for zero return to the User aside from the problems this software creates.

AntiVirus Developers purposefully Market their product to create a “ Fear Factor “. In so doing, creating a False Need for their Product.

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions

This will include BitDefender

This will included Norton Antivirus

 Sophos Av Software

Intego AntiVirus

 McAfee

Avast AntiVirus

Thank you so very much for helping me to better understand matters 'PRP_53'.

An elderly friend of mine has recently installed a free AV software program and showed me this image. The words shown rather imply that people should, nowadays, be more careful with where they venture on-line.

For now, I'll put my faith in Apple to keep me safe and sound.

You would have to download ALL the files stored on iCloud as per directions from Apple in Below link

Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud

Though, scanning for Malware would be rather useless

Malware normally would require a Functioning Operating System.

Then, the user ( you ) would have to Given Expressed Permission for the Malware payload to Bypass the builtin Security to install.

The Built in Security  is all that is required.

Update!

I've just had an on-line chat to an Apple adviser. She advised that what I had asked for here is impossible because my computer, iPad and iPhone all use the iCloud and the information is shared between them.

In my feedback note, I said:-

"As the iCloud retains information which is put back onto an Apple computer after it has been wiped clean, and a new macOS installed, I feel that there should be some means of scanning one's iCloud for malware BEFORE putting data back onto one's computer.

Is there ANY means available to do this?"

Does anyone reading here know the answer to my question?

Thanks.
