“trustd” issue on my late 2009 iMac

can someone help with a “trustd” issue on a late 2009 imac. it’s so slow and shows the large trustd use via the activity monitor). can the trustd issue be resolved or how do i get a new high sierra on it (explain the method in laymen's terms with the older imac, please).

[High Sierra] softwareupdated[548]: Failed Software Update Hello there, on my mid-2010 iMac, running High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G14042), softwareupdate has stopped working on 2023 May 2nd. The error reported in /var/log/install.log shows a certificate trust issue. This cert was updated on that date. In my keychain I have no conficting certificates along the whole chain. A my browsers show no certificate validation problem. I suspect softwareupdated has the old certificate pinned/hardcoded, but I don't know if/how I can override this. Is there a way to get it work again? Thanks! yes, i’d like to just do a wipe, but can someone direct me on how to download the high sierra software for my 2009 imac? the process seems complicated from what i’ve seen. please correct me.

clamxav is gone along with many app’s on it including avast & cleanmymac. i’ll rerun the etrecheck and post it soon.
