How to fix Instagram not loading on Safari in my Mac?

Instagram pages will not load on safari for my iMac. I've tried everything.

Restarted my computer

Erased my website data

Private browsing

For some reason it will let me log into instagram but I can't access my profile or anyone else's. Every time I click on someone's profile either safari goes black or the screen doesn't load. This is very frustrating as I work as a social media manager and sometimes I need to use my desktop. Has anyone else had this problem? It just randomly started yesterday.

This is an earlier response to youarenot's solution post. It worked for me at least and hope it helps others having this problem. Updating Safari on Monterey fixed the IG issue for me after weeks with this problem.

Steps:

1) Followed youarenot's link instructions. https://browserhow.com/how-to-update-safari-without-upgrading-macos/

Initially, you're prompted an update for Monterey under "More info". I'm currently on Monterey, so I'm guessing the update is the last release of Monterey, so I did that.

2) Once the Monterey update was complete, an new update for Safari appeared in the "More Info" section. I updated that as well.

3) I restarted my computer for extra measure, and once I opened the updated Safari, I logged in to IG and it FINALLY was back to normal,

I can see the IG page (not black) but when I click on a post, it will not open, then a colored line appears at the top of the page. This does not happen on Google Chrome.

Yep, I'm getting that colored line too whenever I try to open my profile or someone's story, profile, or hashtag search.

Upgrading software is not an option on older Macs that are no longer supported.

I have been experiencing the same issue for several days now. Firefox works perfectly fine (if slow at times), but Safari will only load my timeline, if that.

Works perfectly on firefox but not on safari for on Catalina 10.15.7 not an so older version ?

Same here, 2020 iMac 27" and 2019 MBP 16" both on Catalina. Other browsers work just fine.

Same for Safari v15 on Monterey. This is another reason why Safari should be a separate upgrade outside of MacOS. I notified IG support too.
