Can’t add cards after resetting iPhone.

I decided to reset my 12 pro max, just cause. It’s on update 17.4 and both my region and bank are compatible with apple pay. Every time I try to add my previous cards, I get told to contact the card issuer. I haven’t got a clear answer from support on why this is happening.

Yes, that’s not the issue. The bank or the PSP is blocking the cards. I’ve linked below to a thread that may help you understand the issue better.

You’ll need to involve the bank to contact the PSP and unblock your cards. The bank won’t see the block, but they can reach out to the PSP support team.

Adding cards to Apple Wallet requires that both the issuing bank and the verifier they use, usually the Payment Service Provider (Visa, Mastercard etc.) must authorize the card to be added. Apple cannot authorize or verify the card. The bank will probably need to contact the PSP and request the block be removed.

If you want to troubleshoot the device, please list what you’ve done so far to resolve the issue.
