number keys and ctrl exits the fullscreen

Playing a game on full screen, hits control and 1 and then the desktop im currently playing on exits, but the game is still on fullscreen.

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 12.6

Check the assignment of shortcuts at System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts... > Mission Control.

You can enable/disable switching in that panel.
