Broken iPhone screen

Hey guys so I was just curious about how to transfer data from my broken iPhone 8 into my new iPhone 12. The screen is broke so I can’t really see or I can’t login to anything using my passcode. Yeah, the phone is totally like damaged but I know when I put it on the charger it turns on I just cannot see the screen plus my backup on the iPhone was already full, so is there anyway I can get into my iPhone or do I have to just restore it completely by taking it to the store.?

If you use iCloud or a computer for backups, then you can directly restore your new iPhone from the backup file. You won’t need your old iPhone. If you do not have any backups, then you are not going to be able to restore your new iPhone from a broken old iPhone. If you want the data out of your damaged iPhone then you will have to get it repaired first.
