4k Apple TV not working with LG TV Volume.

I have tried adding my Samsung remote to the Apple TV using their setup only to have it constantly skipping back twice, launching apps or a dozen other unwanted actions when I'm trying to adjust the TV volume or settings. It was a bit better once I deleted the remote again, but the setup requires so many buttons that do not exist and cannot be skipped during the process, which makes ZERO sense to me.

In some way, it remains a weird situation.

As I stated, here, the problem has been solved.

I now can direct my ATV smoothly with the LG remote as before.

But ... as far as I can see, there was no new update for the Apple TV OS in the meantime. It's still 17.4

Maybe it's a hidden number.

Someone who knows ?

Apparently, in this post, there are two different, opposite issues in the running.

Or, the issue where you can't control your Apple TV anymore with the LG remote.

Or, the case where Apple TV 4K stops controlling your LG TV.

I have two identical Apple TV 4K, one with the old remote and one with the newer one (separately bought).

They both have the same issue in losing the ability to control the tv’s volume.

I finally solved it with the proposed deconnect and reconnect procedure! 👍🏻

At least, this problem, and here in Belgium.

It is not solved in Sweden. I have a LG Oled65B7 and the Remote Will not work with my ATV. It worked perfect before the upgrade to 13.4.

Suddenly it works again. :)

It's broken again.

We can't use the LG remote not anymore again.

After a restart of the Apple TV.

Is this a hardware issue ?

Since yesterday, it works again.

When will it stop next time ?

But I had to make a restart, and now it stopped working once again.

When will Apple fix this very annoying problem for ever ?
