CarPlay on IOS 17.4 not working properly

My CarPlay since the 17.4 does not working well, when you use the microphone on the keyboard on chat app, iMessage for example, CarPlay automactly disconnect from my iPhone, its a shame beacause its just when you drive when you need to use the microphone! Any solution please?

Wireless Carplay has been rock solid for me between my Volkswagon Grand California and iPhone 14 Pro Max, until the update to 17.4. Now it connects and disconnects every 10 seconds or so. If I do manage to retain a connection for long enough to actually press something, it resets.

I have a 2019 Honda CR-V. After I updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 17.4, CarPlay will not work. My car says the cable is not plugged in. Same cable I've always used. Worked just fine before the software update.

Me too. I have iphone 14 Pro Max and ever since I upgraded to 17.4, my wireless Carplay doesn't work at all. The phone pairs to the car fine, but CarPlay won't activate. Tried forgetting and re-pairing. Didn't work. Every time I try to disconnect and reconnect, I get a message telling me I have to authorize CarPlay in the car. I have a 2023 Chevy Tahoe.

Add me to the long list. I have a 2021 Toyota Venza with a wired CP connection. My iPhone 15 with iOS 17.4 cycles trying to connect to CarPlay and never connects. I have tried more than 6 different cables without a twit of joy. Apple needs to step up and find a fix.

Same. I have a BMW 530e. My iPhone connects to carplay and plays audio, EXCEPT for phone calls. My phone indicates it's connected to carplay during the call, but no audio or voice is working via the car speaker system.

Same issue 2023 gmc sierra 2500 (older infotainment center). It pairs through bluetooth but won’t connect to car play. I have to connect to the trucks wifi or usb to get carplay. Please fix. I have 17.4.1 on iphone 13 pro max

I’m having same issue. Was intermittent in 17.4 and totally broken in 17.4.1. It connects perfectly via cable or the car’s wireless network but not Bluetooth like it’s supposed to for wireless. Car is a 2023 LandRover with the latest Pivi Pro software. Phone is iPhone 14 Pro Max with 17.4.1

It's now happening to me. I updated to 17.4.1 the other day. My 2019 Acura uses a wired connection. While talking on the iPhone via CarPlay, the Acura system rebooted 4 times. The call connection didn't stop so when the car system rebooted, the call was still intact. My 2021 Corvette HTC uses wireless CarPlay. It too is experiencing problems after the 17.4.1 update. I am in a Nissan Murano 2021 and it wont even start up Carplay. The phone is working via the chord and bluetooth just fine using the cars connection system as if it is like carplay doesn't exist. It was literally working yesterday and I did the update to 17.4.1 and today this is what I am experiencing. Iphone 14 Pro Max user

It’s March 30, 2024 and CarPlay no longer exists in my 2020 Mini Cooper as of March 28. My husband and I both have iPhone 13s and updated to ios 17.4. We’ve never had an issue until now. It’s as if CarPlay never existed in our vehicle. It’s not even an option to choose when connecting a device.

17.4.1 is garbage. My car has been randomly hooking up to my car…. Which isn’t even turned on. Which caused my sound not to work.

And now my CarPlay isn’t working either. Can we hurry up and fix this issue. It’s also caused some of my other apps to work incorrectly too.

Same issue here where, since update, phone on CarPlay displayed a black screen that lit up only for notice of iOS devices left behind and sms received after which it returned to black.

Yesterday morning, without any of the protocols listed to remediate this, all things being equal, CarPlay lit up full functions on!

Confirmed today, all good!

Nothing I did. It just came back 3 days ago without me doing anything to the phone, the car, or anything else in between. I was in the habit of seeing the dark screen of Carplay since the iOS update and when functionality came back I assumed/guessed it may have been fixed by an automatic OTA (over-the-air) update.
