I was trying to update my computer os, and originally saw Sonoma, but the wheel just spun and nothing happened. Now it doesn't show Sonoma at all, and I get the message that the computer os is up-to-date with macOS Big Sur 11.6.8.
To upgrade to the current version of Sonoma macOS 14 (what I personally would do). See: How to upgrade to macOS Sonoma - Apple Support
