How can I remove an Adobe Reader created digital ID from Apple Mail?

Mac mini late 2014, 3 GHz dual-core I7, Big Sur 11.7.10

I made a simple digital signature in Adobe Acrobat Reader 2023.008.20470, which it stored in Mac Keychain Store, for signing a state government PDF document, which I attached to an email. When I sent the email, it demanded my password, twice, apparently to attach a digital ID signature.

Now it stops emails that I send from that account without any intended signature like this:

It's an unnecessary pain. It won't send the email if I click "Deny". I've tried deleting the signature in Adobe Reader Preferences with "Remove ID"

and it doesn't work.

How do I get rid of it?

Once you have a private signing key and you use it in Mail, the setting has to be turned off. If I recall correctly, you should see a second icon (next to the "Importance" icon") at the end of the Subject line in a new email. Click it to deactivate automatic signing. I suspect that this setting will "stick" the next times you send an email.
