AI powered Siri
Can Apple hurry up and make a AI powered Siri? I feel like the technology is already there. So, what’s taking them so long in upgrading virtual assistant Siri and powering it with AI capabilities?

I'm not sure why you're exhorting people to eat but, okay.
Who wants an AI powered Siri?
Siri is already AI-powered. But, moving to a large language model AI might be an improvement. People have certainly been complaining since its introduction that Siri should be better and do more things.

I guess my question is: When will Apple incorporate generative AI into their virtual assistant. I feel like they should have been one of the first to give Siri those capabilities as it was one of the first virtual assistants ever out there.
You mean like the Jesus-as-lobster paintings? Or ChatGPT?
Apple is actually pretty conservative in these issues. They are really about selling devices and services that can, or at least try to, bring meaningful value to people's lives. Much of that recent AI work is just a gimmick. Apple doesn't do gimmicks.
We don't work for Apple...NDA...yada, yada, yada. I'm sure Apple is looking into this. But I'm also sure Apple is looking for a really valuable use for it before they ship it out to customers.

How about lobsterghost1-as-Jesus?

And that is a very fine thing.
Nobody here is in a position to speculate about Apple future plans.
Apple has been publicly active in ML for a number of years, and you’re already using some of the results of that work with Siri and otherwise.
AI is presently a bubble built upon immense hype, however.

Do you mean Siri? Or do you mean dictation (aka Speech-to-Text)? They are related but not the same. Siri's grammar when it speaks is better than a lot of native speakers. And I have no problems with dictation.
Is there any way we can go back to a few updates ago?
No. You can, however, let Apple know your thoughts here:
Siri has always been based on AI.
I guess my question is: When will Apple incorporate generative AI into their virtual assistant. I feel like they should have been one of the first to give Siri those capabilities as it was one of the first virtual assistants ever out there.

Apple will incorporate it whenever they are ready to do so. Unless and until they make an announcement about it, no one here in this user-to-user forum would know. Anyone who does know is subject to an NDA.
Has anybody else noticed how bad Siri’s grammar ability is?
I will say something really apparent and she auto corrects me to something way wrong. Or skips out different words that I say because she doesn’t understand how they fit in the conversation.
She has almost caused three accidents now and I live in a small town just from having to proofread and correct her so I’m wondering who is responsible for teaching her or if there is no one which it certainly seems like?? Is there any way we can go back to a few updates ago? That Siri actually listened and was useful

Three near-accidents? I’d have long ago disabled Siri (while mobile), given three near misses.

Also, under those circumstances, the poster should consider not texting while driving.
Oh, dear. Oh, dear, oh, dear oh dear.
I need brain bleach.
