AI powered Siri

Can Apple hurry up and make a AI powered Siri? I feel like the technology is already there. So, what’s taking them so long in upgrading virtual assistant Siri and powering it with AI capabilities?

Apple Intelligence without using "Hey Siri"? I have never once in my life used Siri. I've always just automatically turned off "Hey Siri" every time I've ever gotten a new iPhone from the 4 on up to the 15 Pro. Siri has absolutely positively no use for me. But it appears if I want to actually use these AI features, it has to be enabled? Is there a way to use everything Apple Intelligence has to offer without turning on Hey Siri, or am I stuck editing images poorly on my phone? If so, well whatever, I don't really care for AI anyway.
