Whatsapp is stuck at restoring media even when I have sufficient space in my iCloud & local storage

The iCloud storage space has no bearing on WhatsApp’s restoration of your media files. iCloud storage space does not add to the storage space that you already have on your iPhone. You have a 64GB iPhone and therefore your total storage will always be 64GB with or without iCloud. You can synch your data to iCloud and create backups of your iPhone.

Your screenshots indicate that you should have enough space on your iPhone for WhatsApp to restore your media on it. I am not sure what WhatsApp’s requirements are when restoring media to a device. You can get your questioned answered here 👉 WhatsApp Help Center

Whatsapp ask you to have at least 2.05 times the size of your backup.

if you have 20gb, you need at least 40gb free space to restore de media.

Also if it get stuck on the process os restoring, it will increase the temp file size and increase the backup size (bug), so you’ll have to delete the app and try the process again.

And finally, its not uncommon that you have a corrupt backup and will loose all data. Whatsapp Backup on icloud is still terrible for users
