I just purchased my new Mac Book Pro and selected to have Final Cut Pro preinstalled. It's not letting me complete the normal updates to the software, because my apple ID is not original ID that installed the software. Please advise.

Here is the pop up received: Final Cut Pro cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID

When the sofware is preinstalled, there is a procedure to go into the App Store in your Mac and "accept" the purchase into your Apple ID. Did you do that? And did you do it using your Apple ID?
