WD Discovery/Paragon Software

Hello all,

I had alerts to update some apps on my Macbook Pro (2018, purchased in 2019).

One update was for WD Discovery. I have a WD My Passport so I know why I initially installed the app.

When I updated it I got an alert on my computer that said "Paragon Software GmbH" added items that can run in the background. You can manage this in Login items Settings. Ok. So then as I continue to run through the steps of updating WD Discovery, it prompts me to "Grant Full Disk Access to NTFS for Mac". Do I want to grant full disk access? If so, why is that necessary for this app? Is it safe to grant full disk access? I know I can toggle it on and off when needed. I've searched the web everywhere and even the apple community but there are conflicting recommendations on even whether or not this app should even be on a macbook at all times.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Thank you.
