My iPhone battery draining faster after iOS 17.4.1 update

It’s been crazy for me !! I woke up at 7:40 , used my phone to send one text , and checked WhatsApp for 5 min MAXIMUM, at 8:48 my battery was at 78% ! How ?? 😩

Phone battery draining after recent update

After reading many of the comments I want to share that I have similar experiences: much faster draining of my battery.

However, I also clearly notice faster charging to a full battery capacity. This makes me suspicious, because how can the capacity change due to the 17.4.1 installation? I refuse to believe my battery made a sudden jump in performance in that regards. Are we being played (again) by Apple? Please share your thoughts.

I have had the same problem after the update! Has anyone heard anything about a fix???

My excessive battery drain since the iOS 17.4.1 seems to be caused by safari there is hardly any battery drain if safari is closed down I am hoping a new update will fix the problem

Since I installed 17.4.1 ios update on my iphone 15, there is an abvious battery drain despite of the fact that I ammore than a moderate user. From 100% full capacity, my iphone goes to 80% without any special use. Apple should immediately take care of this huge issue. It absolutely tends to affect our daily routine. I am totally dissapointed from this specific update.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max is experiencing the same thing. I NEVER used to have to charge my phone before the end of the day prior to this update. The question is, what the heck is Apple going to do about this? Is it a bug?

Using 17.4.1, like everyone else. Saturday night left phone unused on a chair all night, battery dropped from 100% to 50% in 10 hours. Sunday night , battery drained from 80% to 38% overnight. There is a big problem with this most recent update and apple need to sort it. Battery health 100%.

Same for me, after updating 17.4.1 my battery draining super fast. Without doing anything battery draining 100 to 80% in an hour. Please apple help here.

How did you fix it

I found an amazing fix. I too was searching for the solution to the battery drainage after the 17.4.1 and after that no change in my usage routine but I was charging my phone 2-3 times a day and it was driving me nuts.

Found this in Redit: Go to Settings>Accessibility>Face ID and attention> Switch off Attention Aware Features.

It worked after that.

Now I am back to charging my phone after 1&1/2 days

My usage scenario is same but still battery drain is faster in iOS 17.4.1, in previous iOS version battery was working well. Battery health is also same in both cases.

My iPhone 15 plus battery also draining very fast after updating to iOS 17.4.1. Before I was using my iPhone for 24 hours (20/80 rule) with single charge but now I need to charge 3 times in 2 days.

iPhone 14 Pro user here.

Same problem, battery depletes in less than a working day. I have to juice it up twice if imma use it throughout the day. Plus charging time takes longer than usual. Please Apple, fix this issue asap.
