Apps in iMessage now only accessible via dropdown menu

I did something and now I have to tap a little plus button in iMessage to open my photos and other apps. Before they were just in a line above my keyboard. How do I undo this and make it go back to how it was? TIA

"Messages" does not have an "App" button. Can not insert pictures. There is supposed to be a button to the left of the entry field in iMessage, which I can use to add files/pictures to a message. This button is missing. See the attached screenshot. [Image Edited by Moderator to Remove Personal Information]

How do I get rid of the iMessage app bar FOREVER The "app drawer" is redundant and poorly located. My large thumbs cannot avoid striking the photos or apps tab at least once every time I strike any of the top row characters, q-w-e-r-t-y...etc. How can this tab be permanently turned off, deleted or hidden. (I am not willing to turn it off every time I tap out a message). This question was asked previously by another user and never answered appropriately
