using wallpaper from earlier macos

I would like to access desktop pictures that were available to earlier versions of the Mac OS

Locally, on your Mac, desktop pictures are stored in /System/Library/Desktop Pictures but you should not mess with that folder.


Store your own desktop pictures in another location. You might create a folder called Wallpaper in your ~/Pictures folder, then use System Preferences (Settings) > Disktop & Screensaver to choose an image from that folder.
