Something to try: if you enabled familiar locations (and did not enable SDP everywhere) and if your iPhone has been used enough to have collected familiar locations, go to a familiar location, tap the side button five times, and enter your passcode.
Did you also tap the side button five times?
If so, and if that didn’t trigger a password prompt, contact Apple.
I did go to settings n all tht…it’s not asking me for my passcode even after so many tries w/ face id! Im in a familiar location. Home! Since ive had this phone! It’s not letting me turn off stolen protection w/o face id! It’s not letting me change face id either. This is preventing me from signing into my work sites and folders. 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🙏🏾
If Face ID is not working you cannot turn off stolen device protection I am afraid
Classic Catch 22
