Applications, Downloads Disappeared from Finder Sidebar

How to fix? Even though finder preferences is set to display downloads and applications?

App windows disappear I am trying to upload a file to Safari by dragging it to the Flickr upload screen. When in Finder, I click on the Finder window, Safari disappears.. I go to the dock and click on the Safari icon to see Safari. When I do that the finder window disappears ...How am I supposed to drag and drop a file like I have been doing since the late 1980s? download icon missing on safari toolbar June 2025 Opened up Safari today and the "Downloads" icon is missing. Cannot customize toolbar as it's missing from there as well. Thoughts? No idea where downloads are going as they aren't even going to my download folder.

Hoveer the mouse cursor over the word "Favorites" in the sidebar and then click the small right arrow that will appear to the right of Favorites near the edge of the sidebar.
