Purchased content suddenly will not play on TV using my AppleTV device.

Two days ago any attempt to play any movie or TV show is unsuccessful. Happened suddenly between episodes.

Choose and start a show or movie and a screen pops up with "Cancel" above and "Continue" below and continue just cycles again back to the "Cancel" and "Continue" screen.

Tried all the usual fixes including restart. Often reverts to prompt that my AppleTV is currently not connected to the internet while it still shows visual content everywhere that shows it IS on the internet. On prompt said iTunes purchases were now going to appear in iTV+ but after locating them there the same problems exists.
