trading up my iMac
I have a 2017 iMac with 1tb hdd storage-will a new one with 512 ssd give me more or less and will it be faster?
An iMac with Apple silicon will be faster than an iMac using Intel.
I’d go for 16 GB memory, and more storage than you currently use.
Realize that apps and macOS are only likely to get larger and require more resources over the useful life of the iMac, too.
If you’re unfamiliar with the measurements used for storage, 1 TB is twice the storage of 512 GB.
SSD is vastly faster than HDD, too.
