Restore life to IPad Air 3.. 17.4.1 killed it.. Apples response is that it’s not compatible with unit.

OS 17.4.1 announced upgrade for my iPad. upon loading it it broke the screen into two flickering images.. the top image doesn’t work.. the bottom image does. However despite access by Apple ID.. I can’t erase my iPad to start again from scratch. I have a second generation that works. It won’t copy files from it either by camera or by code. The iPad is too big to be a paperweight. Very upset with Apple! Anyone here restore my faith?
