New iphone 15 - Apple Music starts syncing then stops

A few days ago I puchased an Ipad 10th generation and an iphone 15+. All of my music on both devices is synced to the cloud, along with my Windows PC. I have had no problems with music syncing on my ipad. This AM I created a small playlist in the Apple Music app on my PC and it synced perfectly within seconds onto my iPad. When I went to my iphone and opened the Apple Music app, at the top of the page it shows a message "syncing your library". After 4 hours, this message is still there and there has been no progress with the sync and the new playlist does not show up on my phone. I have tried restarting the phone - same thing happened. Sync starts but never finishes. I checked all music settings on my ipad and iphone and they are the same. Any suggestions on how to fix would be appreciated.

Windows, Windows 10

Ok - After spending over an hour on the phone with Apple support talking with 3 different people (who were all very helpfull), we did what is called a "forced restart" of my iphone. After completing the forced restart, I then went to settings - music - sync library and toggeled the button on and off a few times. Then waited about 15-30 minutes and problem was fixed.

To do a forced restart, do the following

  1. quickly press and release the volume up button on the left side of the phone

2 quickly press and release the volume down button on the left side of the phone

3 press and hold the on/off button on the right side of the phone until you see the Apple logo appear. Then release the button. Do not touch anything you see on the screen while this process is occurring. You will see a slider button on the screen to turn the phone off. Don't touch it, the phone will turn off as a result of you holding down the on/off button

I hope this helps someone out there!
