iMessage/facetime will not activate my new phone number/ Cannot add my new phone number to my Apple ID Account
Recently my old simcard snapped in half, I bought a new sim card and I have a new phone number yet I cannot add my new phone number to my Apple ID account. This is because it requires a security code to be sent to my phone number... which is not connected to my Apple ID account.
What I mean by not connected is my phone number is not in sign-in & Security, Email & Phone numbers section.
iMessage/facetime gives me "activation unsuccessful" error message whenever I try to activate it.
iMessage refusing to work is preventing me from receiving security code to add my number to my account.
I've tried the following:
- Turned off & on iMessage/Facetime
- Reset Network settings
- powered off and on my Iphone
- taking out my simcard and powering off my Iphone
- signing out of iMessage/facetime, signing back in
Is there a possible way to add my Phone number to my AppleID account without using the verification code.
I have full access to my Email and I have a trusted phone number, I just can't use my current phone number to access anything.
Its been over 24 hours.
