Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is a genuine Apple part

iPhone 12. This message appeared on the phone and now shuts off and on. I have done nothing to the phone. It is the same phone as when I purchased it new. No new batteries, etc. all original.

This can be a sign the battery is failing in your phone. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and if you see the battery is near or below 80%, the battery is failing and needs to be replaced at your Apple Store Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider (like BestBuy in the US).

It says health information not available for this battery.

This is the clear indication of a problem with the battery.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple Service shop to have the battery serviced / replaced.

You can find a list of authorized service shops in your area using this link: Find Locations

Estimated cost about $89 (U.S.) if this is a simple battery replacement.
