is it the second gen Magic Mouse with usb connection? Try and connect it via the cable and detach the cable after that to see if you can force it to pair
Schedule Apple in-store repair. If they give it a clean chit, it’s your MacBook (separate discussion on separate forum). Good luck!
Yes it is a 2nd gen bought May 2022, rechargeable, no external battery. Yesterday I charged ( with button green) it connected via the cable to the MacBook Air and Blue tooth On. it was at 1% got it to 85%, disconnected it from the cable and it not only will not pair, by the next day, it lost it's charge all the way down to <3% again. Hmmmm.
It sounds like the Mouse has bit the dust. If the Genius Bar finds it essentially dead give it a rousing Irish Wake and get a new Magic Mouse. And remember to put your 🐱 out at night and don't use any of these: 🪤.
