hello I just needed to run a disgnostics test on my laptop to see why its running slow and what improvements I can make

One excellent tool for Macs is EtreCheck. If you are not familiar with EtreCheck, it is a diagnostics tool, developed by a valued forum member, that greatly aides in troubleshooting difficult Mac issues ... both software & hardware.

Alternately, you can use the native Apple Diagnostic app to check your Mac's hardware components.
