My Mac is read everything the cursor points toward on my iMac.

Hello, my Mac is reading everything the cursor points toward on. I tried checking the voice over in accessibility and that is not checked. I cannot figure out how to turn this off. All happened after I updated software

You're on the right track looking into Accessibility settings. The one you're looking for is under Spoken Content. It's not VoiceOver.


Refer to Change Spoken Content settings for accessibility on Mac - Apple Support: Speak item under the pointer.

Please restart the computer in Safe Mode with the keyboard's charging cable plugged into the keyboard and the back of the Mac. Then restart normally and test.


BTW, do you have any of the following third party apps installed on your Mac?

·      Cleaning Apps

·      Security Apps

·      VPN Apps

·      Maintenance Apps
