App Store disappears when allowed via Screen Time

I am having the same issue on my iPhone 12(17.5.1). Works fine on my iPad (17.5.1). On the phone I managed to get the App Store back but when I went into it there were no app updates available, which i find difficult to believe as it has been about two weeks since i updated any.

That’s not helpful; on the contrary, it sounds dangerous. There’s an obvious reason why we enabled content and privacy restrictions for our kids. Disabling it entirely means they can not only install any apps but also access explicit content on the web, in books, music, and videos, bypassing age restriction settings.

If you disable all content and privacy restrictions, does this mean you have to manually re-type in all the "allowed" websites again once you toggle it back on again? I have dozens of websites that are allowed and manually typed in for my kids to have access to, but I don't want to have to re-type this whole list again.

Although I get this temporary fix. My kids have two devices and I use screen time for parental controls. I’m hoping there is a permanent fix soon that doesn’t require jumping through hoops to keep the same restrictions I had before the update l.

LITERALLY!!!! I have had screentime for years and now, all of a sudden, boom. App Store gone. I did the reset settings trick, and it came back long enough to update two apps, but when I went to go find it again, it was gone. Everything has been allowed under my restrictions. Downloading, deleting, in app purchases, all of it. Apple please fix this it’s rly annoying

I discovered this months ago lmao I have been on the phone with apple so much. Unfortunately due to security concerns, and I thought this was related so I’m glad to see it isn’t but on the other hand apple is ridiculous with the bugs and the incompetent employees.

Thank you! This seemed to bring back my daughter’s App Store. Well I think it may have - now it keeps saying “trying to connect” but at least the app reappeared.

actually I think may have be issue connecting. App Store still hasn’t opened.

I had to unclick restriction to

be able to download apps, and today, all (4) banking apps have disapeared from my screen and phone finally got to app store, downloaded 1 successfully and the minute I kept it opened and got another page, the app simply disappeared, been in this for a good 3 hours, restrictions are off, should i re re download again 4 banks is it going to work ? and put back the restrictions This is really

bad for Apple. a big waste of time at trying to figure out what used to work. The problem is that many banks will require you to enter only with the bank app, and also

to get the app to be able to deposit a cheque- photo. So

you end up unable to do your banking. Apple should really address this problem seriously as the customers are not supposed to be forced to do the customer service.

We are stuck the same way. I crazy part I thought maybe resetting the phones would work and it didn’t. Both my kids phones and tablets are experiencing the same thing.

I have that option turned off already
