Apple released two MBPs in 2015 – a 13" Retina one in Early 2015, and a 15" Retina one in Mid 2015. Both have Thunderbolt 2 ports that can double as Mini DisplayPorts. Both also have a HDMI port.

I don't know which Apple Studio Display you have. You need to identify it better in order for us to figure out if it requires single-link DVI input or dual-link DVI input.

Single-link DVI works with monitors that have resolutions up to 1920x1200 pixels. Getting an adapter that goes from Mini DisplayPort to single-link DVI, or from HDMI to single-link DVI, should be easy. Adapters and adapter cables are a dime a dozen on Amazon.

If this is one of the 30" Cinema Displays that has a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, you will need an active Mini DisplayPort to dual-link DVI adapter and a dual-link DVI cable.

thanks Servant of Cats,

Apple Studio Monitor CY03004UJPC has a hardwired DVI with a rounded powered configuration.  No other power imput to monitor.  2 USB ports on back.  Monitor DVI receives power from computer.  I only dig this out of storage because this monitor fits nicely into an additional workstation space.  Judgment calls made on other pre-press workstations.  What kind of thunderbolt to DVI (rounded) adapter do I search for?
