Kids account app purchase syncs with adult account iPad

I was setting up new phones for my daughters in March and, somewhere along the way, I remember selecting an option to sync app downloads between my daughter’s iPhone/iPad (her own Apple ID) and my (separate ID) iPad. However, I thought it was for free apps, until she purchased Procreate Dreams and it charged me twice - once for her iPad and once for my iPad. I know that mistake is on me, but for the life of me I can’t find how to undo/reverse that option to prevent more duplicate purchases. NOTE: “App Downloads” options is turned off on all devices. TIA!

See this on how to turn off purchase sharing

  1. Go to Settings  > [your name] > Family Sharing.
  2. Tap Purchase Sharing, then turn off Share Purchases with Family.
  3. If the organizer wants to turn off purchase sharing entirely, they can tap Stop Purchase Sharing.

But, when purchase sharing is enabled it is not common practice that you’re charged twice. So if you’re really charged twice try and Contact - Official Apple Support to get further service

Thank you! For some reason, I couldn’t stop “purchase sharing” on the iPad in question, and I had to remove and reinstall as a family member.

what I don’t understand is that there are 5 Apple ID accounts linked to “share purchases” in the Family, but only my iPad is effected when my daughter’s apple ID is used.🤷‍♀️ None of the other accounts/devices automatically download the apps my daughter downloads.

i also put in a request with apple support - thankyou or that!
