IOS 17.5.1 Problems

Phone was dandy until I did iOS 17.5.1 update last night. I just got off phone with Apple Technical Support, no solutions as of now. Here’s a list of problems now:

  1. Dropping WiFi A LOT throughout day, 5 min on, then off, repeat
  2. Turning off WiFi, still couldn’work online using 5G
  3. Text and email notifications not working at all, banners nor sound
  4. When WiFi was working during day, I’d send email to myself to check, emails sat in OutBox until I waited 5-10 min then I’d go back to OutBox and push it through a second time. It would then go through

Very concerned I’m not getting important incoming emails.

I haven’t even checked yet if my photos have been messed up like others are reporting (which 17.5.1 was supposed to fix from previous update that caused photo issues)

My internet company is not having issues. My phone provider Verizon isn’t having issues.

This must be iOS huge mistakes. Nothing is related to each other, the only common denominator is 17.5.1

Yep same here, although I’m also having touch screen issues.

I’m constantly having to reboot my phone so that it works again.

Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Heath Decline After iOS17 Update:

A. Downgrading the iOS:

Unfortunately, the iOS cannot be downgraded to a lower version. So, you only option, when it comes to restoring from an iPhone backup, is to restore from on that is of the same iOS version.

B. Report this to Apple...

Overeating iPhone and draining iPhone batteries are a well-known issues of the iOS17 update. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported this to Apple? So, do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Issues I am experiencing with this update:

  1. General lagginess when using apps. Touch screen doesn't work, etc.
  2. Can no longer stream from Netflix.
  3. When streaming from Hulu or any music app, cannot connect to my AirPods.
  4. Tried connecting to my AirPods at the gym just to listen to my own music playlist to no avail.
  5. Keep getting a message about updating iOS on Apple Watch.

In an attempt to rectify these issues, I ensured ALL my apps were updated and restarted my phone several times (13 mini). I only updated to 17.5.1 because I downloaded an app that required the update... but now even THAT app won't work properly (very glitchy and restarts constantly).

REALLY annoyed by this and sent feedback to Apple about it already.
