IOS 17.5.1 Problems

I can't get any apps to work. Luckily I have a Samsung work phone and that's how I'm even able to post this. Phone was working fine and last night the update went through, now no apps work like I have no service but I can call and text. I can't even access the apple store to try deleting and reinstalling apps or anything. Can't use the browser. I have the apply 15 pro max. My wife has the 15 pro and it didn't effect her phone at all. Fix it Apple!

Cannot use iMessage with the new update. My daughter cannot either. I can’t even access iMessage in my settings. Sometimes when I open iMessage, a blank white screen appears. Other times, it’ll open the app, but it’s unresponsive. And there are other times that it will work, but only briefly. Please fix these issues!

My iPhone 13 worked perfectly on iOS 16 but after switching to iOS 17 this phone has become totally useless. I can’t use safari, google, mail and several other apps. The only apps that work constantly are messages, WhatsApp and the weather app .

once this issue is resolved I will not update my iOS again as it causes nothing but extreme agitation .

Never had issues with my old Samsung .

my 13 pro max ran as smooth as a whistle until this update. Typing barely works, it takes multiple attempts just to open my phone, everything is generally severely laggy, and Apple Music has become extremely unreliable. What was Apple thinking releasing this update??? At this rate I might just switch to android.

iPhone 12 NEW IOS 17.5.1 WiFi, Bluetooth, Personal Hotspot doesn’t work I tried factory reset network settings reset all settings reset. If it even work what happens 1 time on 30 resets iPhone crashes like 13 times then WiFi Bluetooth and hotspot are not available again. Any solution? I’ll never buy an iPhone anymore

Lightning earbuds are no longer recognized.

Sound continues to play from iPhone speakers only when lightning connector earbuds are plugged in.

None of the usual cookie-cutter ''solutions'' that people copypasta all over the place for hits are applicable.

Bluetooth does not discover any devices whatsoever.

App store does not automatically update apps.

Me too honestly I work at Us cellular and have had a lot customer asking why there calls are dropping all of a sudden. My 14 pro max has been so weird it won’t connect to AirPods anymore when I take them out I have to go to settings and connect them that way now. I was on the phone with customer service and when I would push a number it wouldn’t recognize I pushed that number and when I finally got person she couldn’t hear me at all. Need to be fixed making my life and job harder at the same time.

I also have problems on my Iphone SE2020. After the update the homebutton stops to work sometimes and the assistive touch button goes on. The Touch ID works (hole time) fine, only the button function goes away. After a few restarts the function is there - till it happens again.

Used to be able to exit out of Netflix or YouTube while watching a show and it would minimize the screen so I could still watch the show and reply to texts and do other things on my phone. It no longer does that and just closes the app completely and stops the video.

My son and I are noticing this on our phones in the last couple of days. It’s frustrating because we haven’t changed any settings yet apps are disappearing and access is being blocked.

I also cannot have Netflix running in a smaller corner screen to be doing other tasks on my phone which watching. And with Apple Music, if I open certain apps, music stops even though no settings in the other apps (with sound set to off) been changed.

Overall I am noticing little glitches with my phone. It’s enough to drive a person crazy trying to understand what’s happening. Fix the issues Apple!

Same my end. I’m just going into my phone providers store to help me out. Everything worked fine prior to update. Super annoying and putting me off Apple a bit!

Im really mad with this last update 17.5.1. The Apple Watch message appears constantly. 3 calls to Apple and nothing fix.

Yep same here, although I’m also having touch screen issues.

I’m constantly having to reboot my phone so that it works again.

after update my earpiece stops working

Since my update with 17.5.1 I could not even get my phone to power up. Had to restore and when it finally turned back on it had 97% battery life. Definitely not a charging issue
