IOS 17.5.1 Problems

are videos not sending for anyone else over imessage? I’ve tried over wifi and SMS. Have restarted twice and they won’t send (not delivered). I’ve had no issues sending small videos (9 seconds long) before the latest update.

I just updated my phone to iOS.17.5.1 and since then my phone won’t charge above 80%. I’m in an air conditioned room, using an Apple Original charger, and disabled optimized charging. Is this just a glitch from updating or am I s.o.l.

is there anyway to get photos back? after the update photos that weren’t backed up to icloud because i had no storage are gone. so from september last year to may this years photos are gone, somebody please help!

My iPhone 11 powering off randomly

son’s iPhone 12 no Wi-Fi then no 3G traded in to an iPhone 12 mini shop upgraded it to 17.5.1 exact same problems .IPad has lost Wi-Fi permanently connects up & drops after 3 seconds. How do I raise as an issue do Apple can address. Thanks

Updated my iPhone to iOS 17.5.1 and now my microphone doesn’t work on my 3rd party apps. Such as Messenger, Tik tok, and Snapchat. And only works on the apps that came on the phone like maps, camera and the phone connected to Bluetooth. I’ve enabled everything, reset the settings in my phone, restored my phone didn’t didn’t have it backed up so here we are.😁 Also Face ID doesn’t want to work half the time and it won’t pop up my notifications on some apps like my email. Very over it lol.

I am having the same issues. Text messages not coming through or going out. I haven’t really noticed a difference with emails as I don’t have much communication through email. My CarPlay wasn’t working properly either today. It’s just a hot mess.

Similar situation here, only that I can't even connect to my car via Bluetooth anymore. I tried deleting the phone from my car stereo and pairing the phone again. No dice. I did the same on my phone (by "forgetting" the car in the Bluetooth settings). Still didn't work. My phone is a brand new 15 ProMax.

Yep, same issue after 17.5.1 update. Some messages come in sometimes and a few minutes later the same contact comes back undelivereable and can’t contact me. Not getting any ID verification texts. The same vendor can send verification via email but repeated tries via text never come through. And yes. they are using the right number.

Here are my issues about this update. My phone was top tier before this bug came around

-It keeps shutting off randomly

-The volume acts weird sometimes and gets super low even though I have it at full volume.

-Siri is unresponsive, even when Siri activates it doesn’t hear what I’m saying no matter how clear I speak.

-The battery does seem to drain fast.

-The brightness gets too low at the worst times. One time it got too low when I needed the gps- dangerous.

After 17.5.1 I am having issues with bluetooth. Both my Shokz OpenRun Pro headset and my Toyota Camry Hybrid (2012) looses connection. Sometimes it will connect again after a restart and other times it doesn't. I have quite often resort to restart the phone multiple times to get it to re-pair if it won't reconnect and then it loses connection after a day or so. Sometimes a re-pair doesn't work and just gives an error to make sure the device is on. The phone sees it but selecting the device in the bluetooth settings just gives that error. Restart the phone again and then it will pair... until it looses connection when I turn the bluetooth device on again at some future time.

Anyone also have issues with Face ID getting disabled but not disabled in setting? Or did anyone’s focuses get completely reset? Any custom one I made are gone and all the others were requiring me to set them back up again.

I have an SE and haven’t noticed any other problems other than I can no longer connect to HDMI Lightning adaptor. YouTube streams fine but I can’t play any other streaming service through my phone. Had this problem once and the new update fixed it now with this one it’s gone again. So frustrating!

I have my husband pinned in my messages and since the update, I can no longer call or facetime him... the icons are completely grayed out.

Some of my apps don't work, for example, I stream of Sirius XM and sometimes, when the screen turns off, the music stops as if the screen going dark pauses the app.

I also have weird connection issues. I work from home and sometimes the phone disconnects from my wifi.

There is also a time lag. The time might be 1030 on my computer but my phone shows the time from the last opening.

Very frustrating.

Since the update my phone has basically stopped working! It reboots literally every couple of minutes and the back of it is very hot. Battery now drained.

Your phone has a hardware problem that will require service.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.
