What is odd when I left my house and went elsewhere mail came in on my cell when it did not at my home nor on my iMac. But when home mail does not work on cell and still not on iMac Mac mail. Very odd

That points to your Internet Provider as you are using their IP Address when you are on your home WiFi and on cellular, the IP Address is determined by the Cellular Provider. Contact your Internet Provider. They will be able to change your IP Address, but more importantly they should be able to tell you what caused it to be blacklisted in the first place.

That sounds like your internet provider is blacklisting the email as the cell phone can get it when connected to its towers. Have you asked your internet provider about the problem?

As a test and if you cell phone provider allows phones to be used as a WiFi hotspot and connect that way. If you can retrieve your email on the Mac that will point to the internet provider and the bottleneck. Setting up the hotspot on a iPhone go to the Settings ➙ Cellular ➙ Personal Hotspot settings pane.

Is this the email address offered by your internet provider? Is so, you should check with that email provider as they can blacklist your IP address/domain if too many emails that you sent had been reported as SPAM. More information about this practice is available here:

Well I have exhausted EVERYTHING until I go get a new modem for wifi... I was on with Xfinity for hours I can access my email through them but not through Mac mail as I always have... as I get im blacklisted... But cell Mac mail works if wifi is off on it. So I called optimum we reset everything and she said since the internet and everything is working its not them but perhaps apple, I called apple we went through everything with online sharing nothing worked. So will pick up a new modem tomorrow and get a new ISP address. I had thought I was getting one over the phone but after unplugging modem for a long time and plugging it back in its the same ISP address, which could not tell girl as call was over.. So will get a new modem and go from there...and will talk to optimum again... Also lights do not work on the modem so perhaps its that and a new IP address will work if not..Got me Ill post what the outcome is tomorrow.. It's so odd it's only on my iMac/Mac mail....I do believe its the modem and ISP address.. Plus it works at night and when I went to get mail this morning it worked then said I was blacklisted.. I just love technology....Stay tuned

I called optimum who is my wifi provider/internet. They said not them...Called Xfinity/comcast ( I get mail from their server)security they have yet to get back to me. AS it was pushed up to a higher person??Seems to be working this morning but NO ONE supposedly new anything.Seems odd. The name Blacklisted I have never heard of..Makes me feel like a criminal.... TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY these days...

Idris (or anyone) is there a way to "Sort by" oldest as a default? I prefer to always view the Q&A that way and find it annoying that I seem to have to change it every time I view a session and then change it again when I log in.

Yes, there is. Click on your avatar in the upper right of this page. Click on Preferences. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select "Oldest" under Default Thread Sort.
