Apple mail and comcast

Yesterday Apple mail no longer received mail address to me at comcast.net. I tried to delete and reinstall this mail account and got the message that comcast was unavailable. I can sign into this mail at the Xfinity’s website. And the mail still exists there. Any suggestions?

Mail can't connect to Comcast email accounts anymore I've checked everything - reset passwords, etc, deleted Comcast account from mail and tried to add it back. It's 3 different Comcast email addresses. They've been working flawlessly for years and I think this all started when I updated to Venture 13.3.1, but I'm not certain of that. Oh - and Mail also stopped working with my gmail account at the same time. Only my apple.com email address works through mail. The other accounts continue to function fine outside of Mail through web browsers.

Xfinity mail will not send mail thru Apple Mail app. Mail stays in outbox and keeps asking for Comcast mail password Mac OS is Catalina. Apple mail is not affected on IOS devices using same Comcast mail ID's.

Sign into the xfinity web mail and choose Settings from the gear icon in the upper right. After that select the Security tab on the left and make sure Third Party Access is allowed.
